ART-DECO CONSTRUCTION AND DECORATION FOR THIS VILLA NEAR AIX-EN-PROVENCE
For this project to decorate my clients’ entire villa, the first guiding principle was to draw inspiration from their favourite art-deco movement.
The light fittings in particular have a retro feel, as does the sofa and footstool with their upholstered structure.
The wallpaper comes from a leading French tapestry manufacturer.
Refined lines and colours, for my clients who also wanted to feel like they were in a hotel-style setting.
The second main theme was wood, as my clients wanted this warm, noble material to be the centrepiece of their home.
So we matched a dark oak wood with a walnut veneer in the kitchen and the various clerestories in the house.
Both pieces were designed and made to measure, with a view to structuring the room into different, distinct spaces.
For the bedrooms, we went for a warmer, more bohemian feel, with a much more ‘magazine’ and trendy style.
