BORELLY PROJECT, MARSEILLE

In 2024, we worked on the design for the renovation of a duplex apartment in the Hippodrome area of Marseille. Built in the 90s, it lacked character and decorative unity. We redesigned the volumes, the interior joinery and the decoration, which was clean and light, in the spirit of a sandy beige monochrome.

Nestled within a preserved 30-hectare estate, somewhere in the Var, stands an ancient sheepfold—entirely reinvented and reimagined.

Here, our vision was an aesthetic designed to endure. We conceived an exceptional scenography where light fixtures transform into luminous sculptures, bestowing a unique aura upon each space. The furniture celebrates noble materials: antique woods, natural fibers, and technical fabrics capable of withstanding the energy of older children… and the paws of the owners’ dog, who also rules the roost.

Reclaimed antique wood guided our entire creative process—acting as a common thread. These rare woods converse with the stone, the light, and the volumes to reveal the very soul of the place.

This major renovation—comprising a 200 m² main residence and its annex—tells the story of a home in the South of France where interior design is synonymous with authenticity, and where every detail is a promise of beauty to be lived.
