NEO-BYZANTINE SIGNATURE IN AIX-EN-PROVENCE

A character-filled home with a timeless decorative identity

In just ten months, this house underwent a complete transformation. Reimagined, extended, and elevated, it now embodies a unique vision — one that’s rooted in its Provençal setting and contemporary context, yet infused with historical and artistic influences from afar.

The arched woodwork pays homage to Southern architectural traditions, while the contemporary extension redefines the space to suit the needs of a modern family home.

Inside, the décor dares to blend refined influences: neo-Byzantine lines, ornamental richness inspired by Orientalist arts, and an ambiance reminiscent of eclectic 19th-century Italian villas — where mosaics, arches, vibrant hues, and luxurious materials converge.

A bold, lawn-green tone runs throughout the space, echoing the garden outside and creating a serene flow between indoors and out.

Custom-designed furniture, exclusive fabrics created by our studio, and artisanal finishes — every detail reflects a decorative signature crafted to stand the test of time.

Nestled within a preserved 30-hectare estate, somewhere in the Var, stands an ancient sheepfold—entirely reinvented and reimagined.

Here, our vision was an aesthetic designed to endure. We conceived an exceptional scenography where light fixtures transform into luminous sculptures, bestowing a unique aura upon each space. The furniture celebrates noble materials: antique woods, natural fibers, and technical fabrics capable of withstanding the energy of older children… and the paws of the owners’ dog, who also rules the roost.

Reclaimed antique wood guided our entire creative process—acting as a common thread. These rare woods converse with the stone, the light, and the volumes to reveal the very soul of the place.

This major renovation—comprising a 200 m² main residence and its annex—tells the story of a home in the South of France where interior design is synonymous with authenticity, and where every detail is a promise of beauty to be lived.
